Golden evening light over the Cocorná valley

Cocorná, not Medellín — on purpose

Waterfalls, the Río Cocorná, cool mountain air, a quiet pueblo where life is slow and cheap. Medellín's airport and world-class hospitals are about 2 hours away when you need them — and comfortably far away when you don't.

Built by one of us

Rob Bibb is a disabled US Army veteran who found his peace in these mountains and built a home big enough to share it. No corporation, no franchise — a vet who got tired of watching brothers pay $5,000 a month to sit in a beige hallway in Florida.

He lives this life himself: VA disability paid abroad, the pensioner visa, the bus to Medellín — every fact on this site is something he's done, not something he read. He built the finca by hand with local builders over years, then built Freakn Creekn — the waterfall lookout and rafting outfit up the mountain — and he runs seolocal.net, the SEO platform residents can resell.

He raised his family on this mountain, he answers his own WhatsApp, and he vets every applicant personally — because he's not filling beds, he's choosing neighbors.

Straight answers

Can I live here on my VA disability?

That's the model. A 100% P&T rating pays roughly $3,900–4,300+ per month, tax-free, and the VA pays it in full no matter where in the world you live — set up international direct deposit and it lands every month. Our all-inclusive rates are set so a 100% rating covers everything with room to spare.

Do I lose my VA disability if I move abroad?

No. VA disability compensation is payable wherever you live, at the same rate. You keep your full benefit in Colombia, paid by international direct deposit.

How long can I stay without a visa?

US citizens get 90 days visa-free on arrival, extendable by another 90 — six months per calendar year with no visa at all. That matches our six-month stays exactly. Want to stay year-round? Colombia's Visa M pensioner visa requires roughly $1,000/month of income — VA disability income qualifies easily, and we walk you through the application.

The getaway: Freakn Creekn

Rob’s other mountain project — a lookout lodge with a deck that stares straight at a 900-foot waterfall. Whitewater rafting with the lodge's own crew, paragliding country all around, getaway days for residents — and the bus stops at the door.

Your rating covers the rent. A laptop on the terrace can cover everything else.

Resell real services, in dollars

Residents can become resellers of seolocal.net — the SEO platform behind this site. You sell to US small businesses; the platform does the heavy lifting: AI-written and humanized blog content, authority backlinks, AI agents that answer a business’s customers 24/7, and local-SEO campaigns that get them found on Google and by AI assistants.

Why vets are good at this

You already have the network — the gym buddy with a roofing company, the cousin with a diner, the VFW hall full of owners who know Google matters and don’t have time for it. You bring the trust; the platform delivers the work; you keep the margin. Rob trains residents personally — he built the thing.
